Recognition as a normative concept

The notion of recognition is one the most important issues in contemporary social theory, but also biggest challenges that modern pluralistic societies face. Nevertheless, due to a strong reception some Hegelian ideas (e.g. by representatives Frankfurt School), category usually interpreted from perspective struggle. normative dimension mutual processes stronger way – field philosophy neglected. After introductory remarks, this paper firstly, offers genealogy framework classical German philosophy. In second part, analyses how insights can be made fruitful for current debate.
